This Week I’ve Been Watching the Wildlife in Our Backyard,
New life springing forth with the on set of spring just within reach. Reminds me of our yearly visitors the…
Hawks. Every year they would nest among the trees at the edge of my yard. Allowing the grandchildren and myself the to watch nature at it’s finest. The adult hawks raising their new family.

Picture taken through the window – We would all run to the window to watch him drink water from a dish set out for them, because we had a very hot summer that year.

Searching for food.

Three of the young learning to hunt after a rain.

Hawks after the storm.
I miss this wonderful event now with the move. Not completely wordless, but close enough for me.
Let me know what you think about Wordless Wednesdays. Would you like to see weekly posts such as this?

I love to look outside and see wildlife in the back yard. We have a hawk I see from time to time. He got trapped in our barn for about a day. I was worried he was going to hurt himself before he found a way out! We opened all the doors, but we had a hard time getting him to fly low enough to get out. Not sure how he got in there, probably following a bird?

I love looking outside and watching the wildlife. We have raccoons, possums, tons of different birds and eagles. I though it was amusing that the local paper told people to stop putting birdseed on the ground because it attracts larger animals… but they need a place too!
