Everyone Has Their Own Version (dream) of the Most Perfectly Relaxing Deck.
Mine would be cozy and comfy with an equal amount of shade and sun light allowing my plants to thrive within a close distance for my (ok everyone’s) enjoyment. With comfort in mind. I would like to have several deck chairs and perhaps a rocker or two for rocking the grand-babies and to allow plenty of seating for our extended family. Perhaps a low coffee table or a few scatters end tables to hold our cool beverages and allow room to play a round of cards or board games, as we sit enjoying the evening breeze at the end of a long day. Let’s not forget a few durable pillows and maybe a throw for those night when the air is a bit nippy.
Seriously who among us has not imagined the perfect retreat to enjoy with family and friends.
Some may be along the lines of like mine which would fit nicely on the covered porch show above. Then again others my dream of the elaborate deck show below. I say if dreaming… dream big!

Ace Hardware has provided our family with the Living Accents Folding Adirondack Chair* to help us get a jump start on springs arrival.
The new chair arrive in the box shown directly below.

Included in the box are all the pre-cut and drilled pieces, hardware and instructions needed to complete one Adirondack folding chair.

My son was kind enough to build our new chair. He said “The directions were very clear and easy to understand.” “Very straight forward to build. I would say anyone without prior building knowledge could build it in 1-2 hours.” His build time was approximately 30 minutes, however he’s a contractor so might be a little speedy or perhaps he thought the build was a race.
He gave the chair a 8 out of 10. Simply because he has had to re-tighten some of the screws/bolts. Also the braces on the front arms were not quite flush.
The only tools required during the build is a screwdriver. Save your arm and go with a drill, much quicker and less stress on you wrist.

Even one of the granddaughters decided she would help daddy out with the new chair build.
This is the final product. Looks great sits comfortably (especially when you toss on a comfortable chair pad, yep I’m old).

The Living Accents Folding Adirondack Chair will receive tons of use around the pool deck this summer.
The fact that the chair can be folded flat for winter storage is a really big plus in my book. Since our winters here in the Ozarks can sometimes be quite harsh.

Thanks for the reminder to stain our deck. It was built last summer. We didn’t stain in the fall due to wet weather.
