Jump – or at least give it a good ole fashion try! #BlogHer

I’m taking part in the NaBloPoMo Monthly Blogging Event at BlogHer.

This is an exercise in writing from the hip so to speak. Nightly BlogHer will post a new topic and then away we go…

What is the first thing that pops into your mind when you hear the word “Jump”?

Jumping: to propel oneself rapidly upward such that momentum causes the body to become airborne. Taken from Wikipedia*.

Now that sounds like fun!

The absolute first thing that comes to mind when I hear the word jump is… Five Little Monkey’s Jumping On The Bed by Eileen Christelow!

This is one of my grand-children’s all time favorite books. We have literally read this book hundreds of times.

Seriously, you can not read this book with your children shouting, “No More Monkeys Jumping On The Bed” increasing in volume with each turn of the page and not have a good time!

So go on have a good snuggle and read a family favorite with your children/grandchildren tonight. Because when the children have fallen asleep it’s time for… Momma to jump on the bed!

I wonder if I can still jump on the bed with an arm crutch for support…? Maybe I should just remissness and leave the jumping on the bed fun to the grandchildren ; )

What is the first thing you think of when you hear the word jump? Let me know in the comments below!
